MITCH & SHERIDAN

"He's more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same."- Emily Bronte

I am super STOAKED to share this wonderful wedding with all of you today- Marking my first wedding back after maternity leave and my first wedding under the new name and website <3

Mitch & Sheri flew from Australia (along with half their bridal parties + ALOT of guests) to get married in our beautiful city :)

It was a warm- actually pretty HOT (for Christchurch) day in February and I headed to the boys to photograph them getting ready- Lots of jokes, lots of laughs and a super easy group of guys to work with!

I then when to Sheri’s dads house to photograph her and the girls getting ready and Wow what a stunning place- filled with lots of light and beautiful art (two of my favourite things!) The girls looked absolutely stunning- having had their makeup done by Stacey Banfield who we all know is one of the best in the biz and their hair done by Moni from Graceful Hair Art- who’s work is stunning! I spent some time getting to know the girls who were in GREAT spirits before I headed off to the ceremony venue :)

My next stop was Milton Street Substation. Now I have been waiting to do a wedding here ever since I started and It did not disappoint. If you love industrial vibes in a modern setting then this venue is for you! it has such a beautiful indoor/outdoor flow and perfect for a ceremony and a reception in one venue- which is what our couple chose to do.

My two favourite parts of the day were heading into the city to get some amazing bridal photos- Its easy to forget how beautiful our city is after being born and raised here- but revisiting it for wedding photos made me fall in love all over again- the old buildings around the city centre are just stunning! Made even more amazing by having an awesome bridal party to work with!
Secondly being sprayed with champagne during the champagne pop was a laugh and a half- How many times can you say you get sprayed with champagne at work??!!
The reception was filled with laughs- an AMAZING entrance by the Bridal party (wow do those Aussies know how to party or what), dancing, drinking and a whole lot of fun!!

Mitch & Sheri- Thank you for letting me be a part of your day- I had an absolute blast with you all! Thanks for making my job so easy :)

Xx
