FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely I do! I love travelling for weddings and you’ll see from some of my photos Ive done weddings all across Christchurch and Canterbury. I also travel across the South Island and the North Island aswell.
Please note: Travel within Christchurch is included in ALL my packages.
If travelling further distances (such as upper or lower South Island or North Island- flights/accomodation plus vehicle costs will incur a fee- I try to keep these as minimum as possible and won’t overcharge- Contact me for a quote)
How many photo’s will I receive
I get asked this question a lot. I don’t put a set number of photos on my packages because every wedding is different. Every couple is different. At times, a couple may want a short 20-30 minute bridal session, others may want 1 1/2 half (Also depends on how large the bridal party is). Simply the more coverage you get, the more photos. I try to aim for an average of 100 photos an hour minimum so for a 6 hour wedding you get min 600 photos, 8 hours= 800+ and so on.

Do you offer Film photography?
Yes!! I have 35mm and 120mm film cameras to get some amazing shots for you! This is done in conjunction with your digital images to ensure your wedding day is well covered!! (I can also shoot your wedding with film only- this has added risks however I shoot with multiple film cameras to reduce this.

How long will my bridal photos take?
It is completely up to you how much time you allow! I understand a lot of couples aren’t huge fans of spending most of their wedding day taking photos. I’ve had brides that have have allowed 30 minutes and to be honest we’ve gotten some amazing shots in that short amount of time. I typically allow 60 minutes for bridal photos- thats bridal party followed by the bride and groom. I also love to pop out for another 10 minutes at sunset!
I will work with you to make sure we get the best photos however long you choose- even if its only 10 minutes! A great option for my bride and grooms is to split up the time into smaller increments e.g 30 minutes after family/group photos and 30 minutes at sunset.
Just remember to allow for travel times if you wish to go off location for your photos- a trip 30 minutes away can be well worth it for photos but can cut into your time with your guests.
Can you recommend locations for bridal photos?
Yes! I love scouting locations and its something I do before every wedding I Photograph! I’ve photographed some amazing weddings all of Christchurch, Kaiapoi, Akaroa, Hanmer Springs, Dunsandel, West Eyreton and many more and already have some great locations in mind! If its a new location for me, never fear I will venture out to find some amazing spots for us! You are more than welcome to suggest any locations that you have in mind that may be special to you and your partner.
When will I receive my photos?
You will receive your online gallery within 6-8 weeks of your wedding day. I always try to edit as fast as I can and more often that not you will receive your photos much sooner! Don’t forget to look out for your blog as its a great sneak peek while your waiting for your images. You will also receive approx 5-7 sneak peek photos within 24 hours of your wedding day! :) In addition to this, I now offer sneak peek slideshows within 14 days of your wedding! :)
How will I receive my photos?
Every Wedding package includes a private online gallery- You can share this with family or friends if you wish but it will be password protected. You will be able to download both your Lo resolution (social media) and High resolution (print ready) from the gallery.
Do you have albums and prints available?
Yes! My favourite part of photographing a wedding is creating and designing a custom album to match! Albums are the best way to showcase a large amount of images and are an amazing way to relive your wedding day over and over!
Prints are also available in a range of sizes (it is well worth it to get professional prints!), As a professional photographer, part of my job is to work with professional printers to get the best colour and quality out of your images- This is sooo important if you want your photos looking your best and especially If you want your photos to last! no warehouse printing jobs here! contact me for further information!

Do you have any advice for bride and grooms planning a wedding?
I love all things weddings! The nature of my job means I work with some amazing vendors: Venues, florists, hair and makeup- You name it! If your not quite sure where to start lets meet up, have a chat and I bet I can recommend some amazing vendors to get you started and i’m more than happy to do it! :)
As for a few top tips:
Set a budget and stick to it- know what you are willing to compromise and what you aren’t is so important and wont leave you disappointed on the day!
Have your details all in one spot ready to go for the photographer ‘rings/jewellery/invitation/dresses/shoes and any details you want photographed- saves so much time!
Limit your family group photos to just the important ones- its so much easier to have 1 page instead of 5! Its really hard to gather everyone together after the ceremony is over- especially once the alcohol is served!
Make sure you sneak out, away from every for at least 10-15 minutes just to take a breath and recharge, its 100% worth as as you’re going to remember when you and your new husband escaped to have that special moment between the two of you, your first as husband and wife
Have fun! A wedding is an amazing experience but so many people focus on the details when what is so important is that you are surrounded by friends and family, having a laugh and celebrating your love! That’s what you’re going to remember!
Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?
I am 100% inclusive of everyone no matter what shape, size, colour, culture, religion, sexual orientation. I couldn’t be a wedding photographer if I didn’t 100% support ALL love no matter how it looks or feels. I want to tell YOUR love story, and that is something unique to every couple. And something so beautiful.
