“We live by admiration, hope and love”- William Wordsworth
Mikael & Sherilyn got married during a rainy spring day. And while it was not the ideal weather conditions they wanted for their wedding, We made the most of it, getting out the clear umbrellas, having a few laughs and even a kiss or two (I’m looking at you boys ;)) I personally LOVE rainy wedding days! Not only is it good luck, but it gives your photos a kind of misty and romantic vibe and I just love it!!
I was lucky enough to join Sherilyn and her bridal party getting ready at the stunning Meadows in Belfast. Sherilyn was absolutely glowing- She made the most stunning bride! This was actually the first wedding ever hosted in this wonderful location, and I was so excited to be a part of it! :)
I felt very honoured to capture what was a very beautiful and emotional ‘first look’ between Mikael & Sherilyn. The love between these two is absolutely beautiful and I completely valued their choice to do their vows in private- just the two of them <3
Although a tad wet, we were luckily enough to have a beautiful (and very sheltered spot) in the gardens for the ceremony. Sherilyn was walked down the aisle by her very proud father, ready and waiting to meet a very happy (and teary) Mikael. It was a very warm and beautiful ceremony, I loved watching the tears and the big smiles from all the guests who were so happy to see Mikael & Sherilyn finally tie the knot.
After a few bridal party photos around The Meadows- we headed to the reception at the Tannery- I absolutely LOVE the ambience of the Tannery, it really makes for a magical reception spot. After dinner and a few speeches, we managed to pop out for some photos around the venue- It really tied the whole day together and I loved that we managed to get two totally different locations for photos. It was so clear through the speeches, (and one very special HAKA) that the love for Mikael & Sherilyn and their families is so STRONG! I definitely had a few tears listening to their families and friends talk about how they both were amazing individuals and a beautiful couple.
Thank you, Thank you for letting me be a part of your day. I felt so special to be a part of such a wonderful, welcoming and warm family. It was an absolute pleasure and honour to be your photographer. Thank you again for making me feel so welcome <3
