Where do I start… I first met Briana & Mark when we met up for coffee and to chat about their wedding- That was about a year and a half ago. We instantly connected over our mutual love of dogs and spent ALOT of time that day talking (most of it non wedding related). After our wonderful engagement session and a few catch up’s in between- We all became friends so it was even more special when I got to photograph their wedding.
Briana & Mark got married at one of my absolute favourite venues- Larcomb Vineyard! We were lucky enough to have some beautiful cloud cover, which made for perfect lighting- but luckily no rain! Larcomb is such an amazing venue with SO MANY beautiful spots to take photo’s on site- A photographers dream!!
The day started off getting ready with the boys- and wow am I surprised at how LONG it took them to all get dressed- I swear it was even longer than the girls :P Ha Ha! We had heaps of fun getting ready with the mot handsome groomsmen of them all- Louie (Mark and Briana’s golden retriever) I cant believe Briana even found him a matching suit bandana! :) I then headed to the girls- and WOW what a bunch of stunning girls!! They looked INCREDIABLE!! Briana chose the PERFECT dress for and looked absolutely STUNNING! I knew she would make a beautiful bride but wow- I was nearly in tears seeing her in her dress.
The ceremony was beautiful and took every inch of power in myself to not let the tears fall. The love, laughter and fun between these two is so obvious! They are the kind of couple that just make you feel warm and happy when you see them together, It can be so rare to find a truly special love, but these two 100% have it. And I was so honoured to witness their vows :) We did witness one very keen participant- Louie trying to insert himself into the wedding proceedings (could you tell) It made for a great laugh- and some hilarious photos.
I cant thank the bridal party enough for being so warm, funny and welcoming. It was so easy to take photos of you all and it was just really nice to have so much fun with it- I think even the boys enjoyed photos (especially when I gave them the bouquets to hold). I really, really enjoyed the speeches from the bridal party and it was a nice change to have tears of laugher while taking photos! Honestly- Kirsty, Lucy and Nico- Some of the best speeches I’ve heard (and of course Mark- yours was alright :P )
Photographing this wedding and editing this blog has been really special to me. I must say there has been a few tears looking back at these photos. I am just so, so grateful that we met and I got to be there to watch you get married and experience the whole day! From the bottom of my heart- Thank you both!
Catch up soon- Char Xx
